HYDROCABS is made from Sphagnum Peat Moss fibers, which have been selected, dried, sieved and bagged. After these operations, a hydrophobic product with the property of absorbing hydrophobic substances such as hydrocarbons, oils, fats, proteins and which repels water is obtained.

HYDROCABS is manufactured at Turbera Austral in Argentina from 100% natural sphagnum peat moss, which undergoes a heat-treated process that reduces the moisture of the peat to approximately 6-8%.  The activated peat becomes hydrophobic and oleophilic, and its capillary action makes it possible for it to encapsulate oils, solvents and numerous other chemicals on contact up to 16 times its weight.
